A Small Observation From Around Grey Lynn

One comment that has popped up from a few buyers lately is that they simply want to buy a home in New Zealand because it feels like a safe place to be.

With everything going on internationally at the moment, that probably isn’t too surprising.

But even before the recent headlines, we had been noticing something similar - a number of people returning home after a few years overseas.

In particular, quite a few young couples who had been living in England and originally planned to stay away longer have decided it might actually be time to come back and settle in New Zealand.

Nothing scientific in that - just something we’ve been hearing locally from buyers as we talk to them around Grey Lynn.

A nice reminder that sometimes we don’t fully appreciate what we have here until we’ve spent some time away.
